  1  1    Section 1.  Section 910A.7A, Code 1995, is amended to read
  1  2 as follows:
  1  3    910A.7A  NOTIFICATION BY DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE.
  1  4    The department of justice shall notify a registered victim
  1  5 of all dispositional orders of a case currently on appeal the
  1  6 filing of an appeal, all dispositional orders in the appeal,
  1  7 and the outcome of the appeal of a case in which the victim
  1  8 was involved.
  1  9    Sec. 2.  Section 912.6, Code Supplement 1995, is amended by
  1 10 adding the following new subsection:
  1 11    NEW SUBSECTION.  6A.  In the event of a victim's death,
  1 12 reasonable charges incurred for health care for the victim's
  1 13 spouse, children, parents, siblings, or persons related by
  1 14 blood or affinity to the victim, not to exceed three thousand
  1 15 dollars per survivor, incurred as a result of the victim's
  1 16 death.
