  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  279.59  SCHOOL CORPORATIONS –
  1  2 DRUG TESTING.
  1  3    Section 730.5 has no application to school corporations for
  1  4 drug tests required under federal statutes or federal
  1  5 regulations.  
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill provides that school corporations are exempt from
  1  8 the requirements of section 730.5 concerning drug testing if
  1  9 the testing is required under federal statutes or regulations.
  1 10 Currently, section 730.5 provides an exemption from the
  1 11 requirements of the section for drug tests required by federal
  1 12 statute or regulation adopted as of July 1, 1990.
