1 1 Section 1. There is appropriated from the general fund of
1 2 the state to the department of corrections for the fiscal year
1 3 beginning July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, the
1 4 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be
1 5 used for the purpose designated:
1 6 For establishment of a pilot mediation project for the
1 7 resolution of inmate grievances at the Mitchellville
1 8 correctional facility:

1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill makes a $75,000 appropriation for the 1996-1997
1 12 fiscal year to start a pilot mediation project for resolution
1 13 of inmate grievances at the Mitchellville correctional
1 14 facility for women.
