1 1 Section 1. Section 80A.4, subsection 1, paragraph c, Code
1 2 1995, is amended to read as follows:
1 3 c. Has never been convicted of a felony or aggravated
1 4 misdemeanor or received a deferred judgment for the commission
1 5 of a felony or aggravated misdemeanor as provided in section
1 6 907.3.
1 7 EXPLANATION
1 8 This bill expands the requirements for licensure as a
1 9 private investigative agency or security agent. A license
1 10 shall not be issued to applicants who have received a deferred
1 11 judgment in connection with a felony or aggravated misdemeanor
1 12 charge.
