1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 97B.58A REPORTS FOR TAX RETURNS.
1 2 Not later than January 15 of each calendar year, the
1 3 department shall transmit to individuals receiving retirement
1 4 allowances under the system reports that contain information
1 5 about dividend earnings and interest income for the system for
1 6 the previous calendar year. The reports shall be printed on
1 7 forms suitable for filing with federal and state income tax
1 8 returns.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill requires the department of personnel to transmit
1 11 by January 15 of each calendar year to individuals receiving
1 12 retirement allowances under the Iowa public employees' retire-
1 13 ment system the information about the system that the
1 14 individuals need for filing federal and state income tax
1 15 returns for the previous calendar year.
