1 1 Section 1. Section 257.11, subsection 5, unnumbered
1 2 paragraph 2, Code 1995, is amended to read as follows:
1 3 If a district was receiving additional weighting for
1 4 superintendent sharing or administrator sharing under section
1 5 442.39, subsection 4, Code 1989, the district shall continue
1 6 to be assigned additional weighting for superintendent sharing
1 7 or administrator sharing by the school budget review committee
1 8 under this subsection so that the district is assigned the
1 9 additional weighting for sharing for a total period of five
1 10 years. A school district receiving supplementary weighting
1 11 for administrator sharing under this subsection prior to July
1 12 1, 1994, may apply to the school budget review committee for
1 13 additional allowable growth in an amount equal to the amount
1 14 generated by the supplementary weighting as calculated under
1 15 section 257.11, subsection 5, Code Supplement 1993.
1 16 Sec. 2. This Act, being deemed of immediate importance,
1 17 takes effect upon enactment.
1 18 EXPLANATION
1 19 The bill provides that school districts that had received
1 20 supplementary weightings for shared administrators prior to
1 21 July 1, 1994, under the state school aid program may apply to
1 22 the school budget review committee for additional allowable
1 23 growth to provide the same amount of local school revenues as
1 24 was provided by the prior weightings.
1 25 The bill takes effect upon enactment.
