  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  476.2A  STATE OFFICE.
  1  2    All rate-regulated utilities shall establish and maintain
  1  3 an office within the state.  All maintenance and billing prob-
  1  4 lems which arise for customers receiving service within the
  1  5 state shall be directed to and administered by the state
  1  6 office.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill requires all rate-regulated utilities to
  1  9 establish and maintain an office within the state.  All main-
  1 10 tenance and billing problems which arise for customers
  1 11 receiving service within the state shall be handled by the
  1 12 state office.
