1 1 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY SZYMONIAK and REDFERN
1 3 A Concurrent Resolution designating March 1995 as Iowa

1 5 WHEREAS, Iowa women of every race, class, and

1 7 the growth and strength of our nation in countless
1 8 recorded and unrecorded ways; and
1 9 WHEREAS, Iowa women have played and continue to
1 10 play a critical economic, cultural, and social role in

1 22 society for all; and
1 23 WHEREAS, many Iowa women, including Carrie Chapman

1 27 suffrage is celebrated; and
1 28 WHEREAS, despite these contributions, and those of
1 29 women throughout the world, the role of women has been

  2 2 THEREFORE,
2 3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, THE HOUSE OF

2 10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the General Assembly
