  1  1    Amend Senate File 2470 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 26, by inserting after line 23 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  DEPARTMENT OF INSPECTIONS AND APPEALS.
  1  5    1.  The investigations division of the department
  1  6 of inspections and appeals is authorized 1.00 FTE for
  1  7 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, and ending
  1  8 June 30, 1997.  This authorization of 1.00 FTE is in
  1  9 addition to the number of full-time equivalent
  1 10 positions authorized the investigations division in
  1 11 1996 Iowa Acts, House File 2416, section 8, subsection
  1 12 4.
  1 13    2.  There is appropriated from the general fund of
  1 14 the state to the racing and gaming commission of the
  1 15 department of inspections and appeals for the fiscal
  1 16 year beginning July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997,
  1 17 the following amount, or so much thereof as is
  1 18 necessary, to be used for the purposes designated:
  1 19    For salaries, support, maintenance, and
  1 20 miscellaneous purposes for administration and
  1 21 enforcement of the excursion boat gambling laws, and
  1 22 for not more than the following full-time equivalent
  1 23 position:  
  1 24 .................................................. $     39,804
  1 25 ...............................................FTEs        1.00
  1 26    The appropriation and full-time equivalent position
  1 27 authorization provided in this subsection is in
  1 28 addition to the appropriation and full-time equivalent
  1 29 position authorization provided in 1996 Iowa Acts,
  1 30 House File 2416, section 10."
