  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-5700, to House File 2421, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 12, line 14, by inserting after the word
  1  5 "fund" the following:  "and to study the issue of
  1  6 establishing a financing mechanism to provide local
  1  7 governments with assistance to finance infrastructure
  1  8 improvements and to provide a dedicated funding stream
  1  9 to be allocated to the rebuild Iowa infrastructure
  1 10 fund".
  1 11    #2.  Page 12, line 17, by inserting after the word
  1 12 "expenditures" the following:  "and to recommend a
  1 13 financing mechanism and a dedicated funding source to
  1 14 provide infrastructure assistance to local
  1 15 governments".
