1 7 following:
1 8 "Sec. . Section 228.5, subsection 1, Code 1995,
1 9 is amended to read as follows:
1 10 1. An individual or an individual's legal
1 11 representative shall be informed that mental health
1 12 information relating to the individual may be
1 13 disclosed to employees or agents of or for the same
1 14 mental health facility or to other providers of
1 15 professional services or their employees or agents if
1 16 and to the extent necessary to facilitate the
1 17 provision of administrative and professional services
1 18 to the individual.
1 19 Sec. . Section 228.5, Code 1995, is amended by
1 20 adding the following new subsection:
1 21 NEW SUBSECTION. 4. Mental health information
1 22 relating to an individual may be disclosed to other
1 23 providers of professional services or their employees
1 24 or agents if and to the extent necessary to facilitate
1 25 the provision of administrative and professional
1 26 services to the individual.""
