  1  1    Amend Senate File 2463 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 3, by striking lines 7 through 14 and
  1  3 inserting the following:
  1  4    "Sec. 100.  Section 450.9, subsections 2, 3, and 4,
  1  5 Code 1995, are amended to read as follows:
  1  6    2.  Each son and daughter, including legally
  1  7 adopted sons and daughters, or biological sons and
  1  8 daughters entitled to inherit under the law of this
  1  9 state child, fifty two hundred thousand dollars.
  1 10    3.  Father or mother, fifteen fifty thousand
  1 11 dollars.
  1 12    4.  Any other lineal descendant of the deceased
  1 13 decedent, fifteen thousand dollars.
  1 14    Sec. 200.  Section 450.9, Code 1995, is amended by
  1 15 adding the following new subsection after subsection
  1 16 3:
  1 17    NEW SUBSECTION.  3A.  Each grandchild, fifty
  1 18 thousand dollars."
  1 19    #2.  Page 13, by inserting after line 18 the
  1 20 following:
  1 21    "Sec.    .  Sections 100 and 200 of this Act apply
  1 22 to estates of decedents dying on or after July 1,
  1 23 1996."
  1 24    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
