1 2 #1. Page 4, by inserting after line 11 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 8D.15 NETWORK SINKING
1 5 FUND CREATED.
1 6 A network sinking fund is created in the state
1 7 treasury. The network sinking fund shall be separate
1 8 from the general fund of the state and shall not be
1 9 considered part of the general fund. Moneys shall be
1 10 deposited in the network sinking fund as determined by
1 11 the general assembly and as appropriated by the
1 12 general assembly from the rebuild Iowa infrastructure
1 13 fund of the state created in section 8.57, subsection
1 14 5. Moneys deposited in the network sinking fund shall
1 15 be appropriated by the general assembly and shall only
1 16 be used for the payment of costs associated with the
1 17 early redemption of the certificates of participation
1 18 issued to pay costs associated with the construction
1 19 of the network. Interest or earnings on moneys
1 20 deposited in the network sinking fund shall be
1 21 credited to the network sinking fund."
