  1  1    Amend Senate File 2442 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 10, by inserting after line 9 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "b.  Families who are at or between 101 percent and
  1  5 110 percent of the federal poverty level and who are
  1  6 employed at least 30 hours per week.  Assistance
  1  7 provided to families pursuant to this paragraph shall
  1  8 be provided in accordance with a sliding fee scale
  1  9 developed by the department.  If an evaluation of
  1 10 expenditures for state child care assistance
  1 11 determines there is sufficient funding available, the
  1 12 department shall implement the provisions of this
  1 13 paragraph on or after January 2, 1997."
  1 14    #2.  By renumbering and relettering as necessary.
