  1  1    Amend Senate File 2195 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 4, line 6, by striking the words "a
  1  3 shared data network" and inserting the following:  "a
  1  4 network to be used exclusively for shared data".
  1  5    #2.  Page 4, line 13, by striking the word "LEWIS"
  1  6 and inserting the following:
  1  7    "1.  LEWIS".
  1  8    #3.  Page 4, by inserting after line 19 the
  1  9 following:
  1 10    "2.  ADDITIONS TO PART III.  The Iowa
  1 11 telecommunications and technology commission may
  1 12 contract for construction relating to connections to
  1 13 the Iowa communications network for the following
  1 14 authorized users which were not identified in the
  1 15 original Part III request for proposals, but which
  1 16 meet the definition of a Part III user pursuant to
  1 17 section 8D.13, subsection 2, paragraph "c":
  1 18    a.  Four oaks educational center, Cedar Rapids.
  1 19    b.  St. Augustin's school, Des Moines.
  1 20    c.  Keystone area education agency, Dubuque.
  1 21    d.  Eldora state training school, Eldora."
  1 22    Sec.    .  CONTRACT MODIFICATION.  Notwithstanding
  1 23 section 8D.13, the commission may modify the Part III
  1 24 contract entered into with Sooland Cable, and
  1 25 involving the connection of five Part III sites, to
  1 26 provide for a lump-sum payment at the time of
  1 27 installation and activation of the circuit which will
  1 28 result in a real savings of approximately $26,788 per
  1 29 site when compared to the original contract price."
  1 30    #4.  By renumbering, relettering, or redesignating
  1 31 and correcting internal references as necessary.
