  1  1    Amend Senate File 2245 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 16, line 31, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "percent." the following:  "However, effective July 1,
  1  4 1996, and for monthly benefits payable on or after
  1  5 that date, the applicable percentage multiplier for
  1  6 members retiring pursuant to this subparagraph shall
  1  7 be fifty-eight percent, and the department shall
  1  8 recalculate and pay monthly benefits accordingly."
