  1  1    Amend House File 518, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 22, by inserting after line 1 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  476.78A  PUBLIC UTILITY
  1  6 &endash; SEPARATE AFFILIATE REQUIRED.
  1  7    A rate-regulated utility, as defined in section
  1  8 476.1, which engages in a nonutility service, as
  1  9 defined in section 476.72, shall establish a separate
  1 10 affiliate business entity for the purpose of engaging
  1 11 in such service.  The separate affiliate shall not use
  1 12 in any manner, any name, logo, property, equipment, or
  1 13 facilities owned or leased by, or personnel employed
  1 14 by, the rate-regulated utility."
  1 15    #2.  Renumber as necessary.
