1 2 #1. Page 28, by inserting after line 31 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 216.16, subsection 5, Code
1 5 1995, is amended to read as follows:
1 6 5. The district court may grant any relief in an
1 7 action under this section which is authorized by
1 8 section 216.15, subsection 8 to be issued by the
1 9 commission. The district court may also award the
1 10 respondent reasonable attorney's fees and court costs
1 11 when the court finds that the complainant's action was
1 12 frivolous. In an action authorized under this
1 13 section, the district court retains the powers of a
1 14 court in addition to any special powers conferred on
1 15 the court by this chapter. An action authorized under
1 16 this section may be tried to a jury on the same basis
1 17 as an ordinary civil action."
