  1  1    Amend Senate File 484 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 30, by inserting after line 32 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  476.78A  PUBLIC UTILITY
  1  5 &endash; SEPARATE AFFILIATE REQUIRED.
  1  6    A rate-regulated utility, as defined in section
  1  7 476.1, which engages in a nonutility service, as
  1  8 defined in section 476.72, shall establish a separate
  1  9 affiliate business entity for the purpose of engaging
  1 10 in such service.  The separate affiliate shall not use
  1 11 in any manner, any name, logo, property, equipment, or
  1 12 facilities owned or leased by, or personnel employed
  1 13 by, the rate-regulated utility."
  1 14    #2.  Renumber as necessary.
