1 2 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 18 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 427B.17, unnumbered paragraph
1 5 1, Code 1995, is amended to read as follows:
1 6 For property defined in section 427A.1, subsection
1 7 1, paragraphs "e" and "j", acquired or initially
1 8 leased on or after January 1, 1982, and on or before
1 9 June 30, 1995, the taxpayer's valuation shall be
1 10 limited to thirty percent of the net acquisition cost
1 11 of the property. Such property acquired or initially
1 12 leased on or after July 1, 1995, shall be exempt from
1 13 taxation. For purposes of this section, "net
1 14 acquisition cost" means the acquired cost of the
1 15 property including all foundations and installation
1 16 cost less any excess cost adjustment.
1 17 #2. Page 4, by inserting after line 18 the
1 18 following:
1 19 "5. Property taxes paid on property defined in
1 20 section 427A.1, subsection 1, paragraphs "e" and "j",
1 21 and assessed under section 427B.17, which property is
1 22 located in an urban renewal area on or after July 1,
1 23 1995, for which there is a division of taxes under
1 24 section 403.19, shall not be eligible to receive
1 25 reimbursement under this section.
1 26 6. Property taxes paid on property defined in
1 27 section 427A.1, subsection 1, paragraphs "e" and "j",
1 28 and assessed under section 427B.17, which taxes are
1 29 being used to fund a new jobs training program on or
1 30 after July 1, 1995, under section 260E.4 or 260F.4,
1 31 shall not be eligible to receive reimbursement under
1 32 this section."
1 33 #3. Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 34 word "reimbursement" the following: "and exemption".
1 35 #4. By renumbering as necessary.
