1 2 #1. Page 24, by inserting after line 11 as
1 3 follows:
1 4 "3. The Iowa law enforcement academy may annually
1 5 select at least five automobiles of the department of
1 6 public safety, division of highway safety, uniformed
1 7 force, and radio communications, prior to turning over
1 8 the automobiles to the state vehicle dispatcher to be
1 9 disposed of by public auction and the Iowa law
1 10 enforcement academy may exchange any automobile owned
1 11 by the academy for each automobile selected if the
1 12 selected automobile is used in training law
1 13 enforcement officers at the academy. However, any
1 14 automobile exchanged by the academy shall be
1 15 substituted for the selected vehicle of the department
1 16 of public safety and sold by public auction with the
1 17 receipts being deposited in the depreciation fund to
1 18 the credit of the department of public safety,
1 19 division of highway safety, uniformed force, and radio
1 20 communications."
