  1  1    Amend Senate File 459 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 9, by inserting after line 31 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "It is the intent of the general assembly that as a
  1  5 condition of receiving the appropriation provided in
  1  6 this subsection, the department of corrections shall
  1  7 not enter into a contract for the expenditure of
  1  8 moneys in excess of one hundred thousand dollars
  1  9 during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995, for the
  1 10 privatization of services performed by the department
  1 11 without prior approval by the general assembly."
