  1  1    Amend Senate File 266 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 6, by inserting after line 13 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Each community college shall award a percentage of
  1  5 total financial aid grant funds to minority students
  1  6 not less than the percentage of minority persons
  1  7 residing in Iowa as indicated in current census
  1  8 figures or not less than the percentage of minority
  1  9 persons residing in the area served by the community
  1 10 college as indicated in current census figures,
  1 11 whichever is greater.  "Minority" means, for purposes
  1 12 of this paragraph, an individual who is African-
  1 13 American, Hispanic, Asian, or a Pacific islander,
  1 14 American Indian, or an Alaskan native American."
