1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 476.4B UNIFORM TOLL RATES.
1 2 Except as otherwise specifically provided for by this
1 3 chapter, a telephone company subject to rate regulation shall
1 4 provide for uniform toll rates to be charged to all customers
1 5 of the telephone company and shall not charge a different rate
1 6 to a particular customer or class of customers than that
1 7 charged to any other customer of the telephone company.
1 8 Sec. 2. Section 476.97, subsection 3, Code Supplement
1 9 1995, is amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 10 NEW PARAGRAPH. f. Providing for uniform toll rates to be
1 11 charged to all customers of the local exchange carrier.
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This provides that a rate-regulated telephone company or a
1 14 local exchange carrier participating under a plan of price
1 15 regulation must provide for uniform toll rates to be charged
1 16 to all customers of such company or carrier.
