1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 331.303A BOARD PROHIBITION OF
1 2 LAND ACQUISITIONS.
1 3 The board may prohibit an acquisition of land within the
1 4 county by a governmental entity, including an agency or unit
1 5 of this state, a local governmental entity of this state, or
1 6 the United States. If the board prohibits such an acquisition
1 7 of land, the acquisition of land shall not occur and the
1 8 recorder shall not record such an acquisition of land.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill authorizes the county board of supervisors to
1 11 prohibit an acquisition of land within the county by a
1 12 governmental entity, including a state agency or unit, a local
1 13 governmental entity of this state, or the United States. The
1 14 bill provides that if the board of supervisors prohibits such
1 15 an acquisition of land, the acquisition of land shall not
1 16 occur and the county recorder shall not record such an
1 17 acquisition of land.
