  1  1    Section 1.  1994 Iowa Acts, chapter 1038, section 3, as
  1  2 amended by 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter 33, section 1, is amended
  1  3 to read as follows:
  1  4    SEC. 3.  REPEAL.  This Act is repealed effective July 1,
  1  5 1996 1997.
  1  6    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1  7 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill extends the repeal date for the exemption of
  1 10 certain multiple employer welfare arrangements from regulation
  1 11 by the insurance division when specified requirements are met
  1 12 from July 1, 1996, to July 1, 1997.  The bill takes effect
  1 13 upon enactment.
