1 1 Section 1. Section 627.6, Code 1995, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 14. All property in this state of the
1 4 judgment debtor where the judgment is in favor of another
1 5 state for failure to pay that state's income tax on benefits
1 6 received from a pension, annuity, or other retirement plan or
1 7 contract.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill exempts from foreign tax judgments all property
1 10 of an Iowa resident debtor if the tax judgment is for failure
1 11 to pay a state's income tax on retirement income.
