1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 307.50 CONTRACTS &endash; APPROVAL BY
1 2 GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
1 3 The department shall not enter into a contract for the
1 4 expenditure of moneys in excess of one hundred thousand
1 5 dollars for the redesign and issuance of new vehicle
1 6 registration plates or motor vehicle licenses without prior
1 7 approval by the general assembly.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill requires prior approval by the general assembly
1 10 before the state department of transportation awards a
1 11 contract for the expenditure of state moneys in excess of
1 12 $100,000 for the redesign and issuance of new license plates
1 13 and driver's licenses.
