1 1 Section 1. Section 232.22, subsection 1, Code 1995, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. f. A dispositional order has been entered
1 4 under section 232.52 placing the child in detention.
1 5 Sec. 2. Section 232.52, subsection 2, Code 1995, is
1 6 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 7 NEW PARAGRAPH. g. An order placing a child in detention
1 8 for a specified period of time in a facility under section
1 9 232.22, subsection 2.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill provides that the juvenile court may enter a
1 12 dispositional order placing a juvenile who has been
1 13 adjudicated delinquent in detention for a specified period of
1 14 time. The juvenile may be detained in any facility in which a
1 15 juvenile who is taken into custody for an alleged delinquent
1 16 act could be detained.
1 17 This bill may contain a state mandate under chapter 25B.
1 18 If the bill contains a state mandate, a political subdivision
1 19 is not required to comply with the provisions of the bill
1 20 unless an appropriation fully or proportionately funding the
1 21 state's share of the costs to the political subdivision of
1 22 complying with the bill is made in accordance with section
1 23 25B.2, subsection 3.
