1 1 Section 1. There is appropriated from the general fund of
1 2 the state to the department of education for the fiscal year
1 3 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, the
1 4 following amount, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to
1 5 be used for the purpose designated:
1 6 TEACHER EXCHANGE PROGRAM
1 7 To provide funds for the establishment and support of the
1 8 teacher exchange program pursuant to section 279.55:
1 9 .................................................. $ 25,000
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill appropriates $25,000 for the establishment and
1 12 support of the teacher exchange program. With an
1 13 appropriation from the general assembly, the teacher exchange
1 14 program is established to permit school districts to exchange
1 15 licensed instructional personnel with other districts in order
1 16 to promote the exchange and enhancement of instructional
1 17 methods and materials and encourage the educational
1 18 development of Iowa's teachers.
