  1  1    Amend Senate File 2370, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 3, line 35, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "utility." the following:  "Energy efficiency programs
  1  5 shall be designed to assure the lowering of overall
  1  6 costs of energy investments within this state, to
  1  7 increase the economic productivity of energy
  1  8 investments in this state, to enhance employment
  1  9 retention and creation resulting from energy
  1 10 investments within this state, and to reduce adverse
  1 11 environmental impacts associated with energy
  1 12 production and energy use within this state."
