1 1 Amend the amendment, H-5102, to House File 2298, as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Section 1. Section 135.1, subsection 4, Code
1 6 Supplement 1995, is amended to read as follows:
1 7 4. "Physician" means a person licensed to practice
1 8 medicine and surgery, osteopathic medicine and
1 9 surgery, osteopathy, chiropractic, or podiatry under
1 10 the laws of this state; but a person licensed as a
1 11 physician and surgeon shall be designated as a
1 12 "physician" or "surgeon", a person licensed as an
1 13 osteopathic physician and surgeon shall be designated
1 14 as an "osteopathic physician" or "osteopathic
1 15 surgeon", a person licensed as an osteopath shall be
1 16 designated as an "osteopathic physician", a person
1 17 licensed as a chiropractor shall be designated as a
1 18 "chiropractor", and a person licensed as a podiatrist
1 19 shall be designated as a "podiatric physician", and a
1 20 person licensed as an optometrist shall be designated
1 21 as an "optometrist"."
