  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-5260, to House File 2235 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 2, line 33, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "franchisee." the following:  "Notwithstanding the
  1  5 requirement that the surviving spouse, child or
  1  6 children, or partner is responsible for maintaining
  1  7 all of the standards and obligations under the
  1  8 franchise agreement during the one-year period
  1  9 preceding qualification as a franchisee, the
  1 10 franchisor shall not impose any penalties or have a
  1 11 right of first refusal as the result of the breach of
  1 12 any standard or obligation which exists on the date of
  1 13 the death or disability of the franchisee."
