  1  1    Amend House File 2472 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 9, by inserting after line 10 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "It is the intent of the general assembly that the
  1  5 department of general services shall, notwithstanding
  1  6 any provisions of law or rule to the contrary, permit
  1  7 the department of corrections the opportunity to
  1  8 acquire, at no cost, computers that would otherwise be
  1  9 disposed of by the department of general services.
  1 10 The department of corrections shall use computers
  1 11 acquired under this paragraph to provide educational
  1 12 training and programs for inmates."
