  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-5155, to House File 2397 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 1 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 7, line 15, by striking the word and
  1  6 figures "July 1, 1996" and inserting the following:
  1  7 "the effective date of this Act"."
  1  8    #2.  Page 1, by inserting after line 3 the
  1  9 following:
  1 10    "#   .  Page 7, lines 18 and 19, by striking the
  1 11 word and figures "July 1, 1996" and inserting the
  1 12 following:  "the effective date of this Act".
  1 13    #   .  Page 7, by inserting after line 22 the
  1 14 following:
  1 15    "Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed
  1 16 of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment."
  1 17    #   .  Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
  1 18 word "investments" the following:  "and establishing
  1 19 an effective date".
  1 20    #   .  By renumbering as necessary."
