1 1 Amend the amendment, H-5051, to Senate File 2063,
1 2 as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 1, line 9, by inserting after the word
1 5 "public" the following: "and nonpublic".
1 6 #2. Page 1, by inserting after line 46 the
1 7 following:
1 8 " . Each board of directors of a school district
1 9 allocated funds under subsection 2 shall be required
1 10 to establish a fund from which accredited nonpublic
1 11 schools are entitled to receive moneys. From the
1 12 moneys allocated in subsection 2, the department of
1 13 education shall distribute not more than one million
1 14 dollars to the funds established pursuant to this
1 15 subsection based upon the proportion that each
1 16 accredited nonpublic school's enrollment bears to the
1 17 sum of the basic enrollment of all accredited
1 18 nonpublic schools in the state. Moneys in the funds
1 19 established by the boards shall be expended for
1 20 communication costs, the acquisition, lease, or lease-
1 21 purchase, installation, and maintenance of
1 22 instructional technology equipment, including
1 23 hardware, software, and materials and supplies related
1 24 to instructional technology to nonpublic school
1 25 students."
1 26 #3. Page 3, by inserting after line 20 the
1 27 following:
1 28 " . Each accredited nonpublic school receiving
1 29 funds under section 295.2 shall develop a technology
1 30 plan that supports and improves student achievement,
1 31 demonstrates the manner in which technology will be
1 32 utilized to improve student achievement, and includes
1 33 an evaluation component. Plans and an annual progress
1 34 report shall be submitted to the department of
1 35 education."
1 36 #4. Page 3, by inserting after line 31 the
1 37 following:
1 38 " . Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 39 word "districts," the following: "accredited
1 40 nonpublic schools,"."
1 41 #5. By renumbering as necessary.
