Page 2, line 11, by striking the word and 1 4 figure "and 2" and inserting the following: ", 2, and 1 5 4". 1 6 #2. Page 2, by striking lines 14 and 15 and 1 7 inserting the following: "who shall be an Iowa 1 8 resident who has reached the age". 1 9 #3. Page 3, by inserting after line 24 the 1 10 following: 1 11 "4. The treasurer and candidate in the case of a 1 12 candidate's committee, and the treasurer and 1 13 chairperson in the case of a political committee, 1 14 shall preserve all records required to be kept by this 1 15 section for a period ofthreefive years. However, a 1 16 committee is not required to preserve any records for 1 17 more than three years from thedate of the election in1 18which the committee is involved, or thecertified date 1 19 of dissolution of the committee, whichever is1 20applicable. For purposes of this section, the five- 1 21 year period shall commence with the due date of the 1 22 disclosure report covering the activity documented in 1 23 the records." 1 24 #4. A candidate and the candidate's committee shall 1 41 use campaign funds only for campaign purposes, 1 42 educational and other expenses associated with the 1 43 duties of office, or constituency services, and shall 1 44 not use campaign funds for personal expenses or 1 45 personal benefit. The purchase of subscriptions to 1 46 newspapers from or which circulate within the area 1 47 represented by the office which a candidate is seeking 1 48 or holds is presumed to be an expense that is 1 49 associated with the duties of the campaign for and 1 50 duties of office." 2 1 #8.
