1 1 Amend the amendment, H-3498, to Senate File 266, as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 14, by inserting after line 48 the
1 5 following:
1 6 "Sec. 705. Notwithstanding section 8.33, funds
1 7 appropriated in 1993 Iowa Acts, chapter 180, section
1 8 64, remaining unencumbered or unobligated on June 30,
1 9 1995, shall not revert to the general fund of the
1 10 state but are appropriated to and shall be available
1 11 for expenditure to the department of education for the
1 12 fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June
1 13 30, 1996, and of those funds remaining, $50,000 shall
1 14 be expended for purposes of the character education
1 15 pilot program under section 256.18."
1 16 #2. Page 20, line 11, by inserting after the
1 17 figure "2," the following: "705,".
1 18 #3. By renumbering and correcting internal
1 19 references as necessary.
