  1  1    Amend House File 579 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 13, by striking lines 1 through 9 and
  1  3 inserting the following:  "open enrollment.  A member
  1  4 of the general assembly may elect to receive
  1  5 reimbursement for the costs paid by the member for a
  1  6 continuation of a group coverage (COBRA) health or
  1  7 medical insurance plan.  The member shall apply for
  1  8 reimbursement by submitting evidence of payment for a
  1  9 COBRA health or medical insurance plan.  The maximum
  1 10 reimbursement shall be no greater than the state's
  1 11 contribution for health or medical insurance family
  1 12 plan II.  A member".
