  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-3498, to Senate File 266, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 16, by inserting after line 27 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec. 266.  Section 257.11, subsection 2,
  1  7 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1995, is amended to read
  1  8 as follows:
  1  9    If the school budget review committee certifies to
  1 10 the department of management that the shared classes
  1 11 or teachers would otherwise not be implemented without
  1 12 the assignment of additional weighting, pupils
  1 13 attending classes in another school district or a
  1 14 community college, including a college course taken
  1 15 over the Iowa communications network, attending
  1 16 classes taught by a teacher who is employed jointly
  1 17 under section 280.15, or attending classes taught by a
  1 18 teacher who is employed by another school district,
  1 19 are assigned a weighting of one plus an additional
  1 20 portion equal to one times the percent of the pupil's
  1 21 school day during which the pupil attends classes in
  1 22 another district or community college, attends classes
  1 23 taught by a teacher who is jointly employed under
  1 24 section 280.15, or attends classes taught by a teacher
  1 25 who is employed by another school district."
  1 26    #2.  Page 20, line 11, by inserting after the
  1 27 figure "15," the following:  "266,".
  1 28    #3.  Page 20, line 13, by inserting after the word
  1 29 "enactment." the following:  "Section 266 of this Act
  1 30 applies to school budget years commencing on or after
  1 31 July 1, 1995."
