  1  1    #Amend House File 567 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 2 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "NEW SUBSECTION.  9.  Notwithstanding other
  1  5 provisions of this section, the rates required for
  1  6 purchase of alternate energy for long-term contracts
  1  7 entered into on or after July 1, 1995, shall be set at
  1  8 a minimum of four cents per kilowatt hour.  A contract
  1  9 entered into pursuant to subsection 1 shall include an
  1 10 escalation provision which shall provide for an annual
  1 11 rate increase which is based upon the increase in the
  1 12 consumer price index."
