  1  5    #2.  Page 5, by striking line 32 and inserting the

  1  8    #3.  Page 5, line 33, by inserting after the word
  1  9 "paragraph" the following:  ", plus any other funds
  1 10 received,".
  1 11    #4.  Page 5, line 35, by striking the words ",
  1 12 including long-term care data,".
  1 13    #5.  Page 6, by striking line 15 and inserting the
  1 14 following:

  1 16    #6.  Page 6, by inserting after line 33 the
  1 17 following:
  1 18    "The Iowa department of public health shall
  1 19 organize a coalition to consider federal requirements
  1 20 concerning lead poisoning and develop recommendations
  1 21 for submission to the general assembly on or before
  1 22 January 1, 1996, for proposed legislation regarding
  1 23 lead-poisoned persons.  The coalition formed shall
  1 24 include, but is not limited to, representatives of
  1 25 real estate agents, landlords, painting contractors,
  1 26 lead inspectors, local public health officials, and
  1 27 consumers." 
  1 28    #7.  By striking page 6, line 34, through page 7,
  1 29 line 5, and inserting the following:
  1 30    "e.  The radon program shall be eliminated July 1,
  1 31 1995."
  1 32    #8.  Page 18, by inserting after line 30 the
  1 33 following:
  1 34    "The Iowa department of public health and the
  1 35 department of human services shall determine if
  1 36 expenses under any portion of the healthy family
  1 37 program would qualify for payment under the medical
  1 38 assistance program and if so, shall apply to the
  1 39 federal government for a medical assistance waiver.
  1 40 The Iowa department of public health and the
  1 41 department of human services shall evaluate the
  1 42 funding change's potential impact upon clients of the
  1 43 healthy family program.
  1 44    Contingent upon appropriation by the general
  1 45 assembly, the healthy opportunities for parents to
  1 46 experience success program, authorized in the 1992
  1 47 Iowa Acts, Second Extraordinary Session, chapter 1001,
  1 48 section 414, shall be implemented or expanded in the
  1 49 following priority order:
  1 50    (1)  Expansion of the program to be fully funded in
  2  1 Scott, Woodbury, and Polk counties.
  2  2    (2)  Implementation of the program in Adams,
  2  3 Decatur, Ringgold, and Union counties.
  2  4    (3)  Implementation of the program in Boone and
  2  5 Dickinson counties.
  2  6    If there is inadequate funding for the priority in
  2  7 subparagraph (1), the moneys available shall be
  2  8 divided among the three counties.  If the
  2  9 implementation in any county enumerated in
  2 10 subparagraph (2) or (3) is unsuccessful, the
  2 11 contractor may substitute another county with similar
  2 12 demographics."
  2 13    #9.  Page 21, by striking lines 1 and 2 and
  2 14 inserting the following:

  2 17    #10.  Page 22, by inserting after line 14 the
  2 18 following:
  2 19    "   .  COMMUNITY GRANT FUND
  2 20    For the community grant fund established under sec-
  2 21 tion 232.190 for new grants and the continuation of
  2 22 existing grants for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
  2 23 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, to be used for the
  2 24 purposes of the community grant fund:  
  2 25 .................................................. $  1,800,000
  2 26    New grant proposals and continuation grant
  2 27 recipients shall demonstrate community collaboration,
  2 28 not merely disbursements of funds to various
  2 29 organizations, and shall show significant progress
  2 30 toward achieving objectives set forth in the proposal
  2 31 such as process and impact evaluation objectives,
  2 32 including objectives related to the number of persons
  2 33 served.  Letters of support shall include specific
  2 34 commitments and shall be binding." 
  2 35    #11.  Page 23, by striking line 10 and inserting
  2 36 the following:

  2 38    #12.  Page 23, line 28, by striking the word
  2 39 "shall" and inserting the following:  "is requested
  2 40 to".
