1 1 Amend the amendment, H-3498, to Senate File 266, as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 46 the
1 5 following:

1 7 For allocation to Merged Area XI to be used for the
1 8 grants to students for the Iowa minority academic
1 9 grants for economic success program under sections
1 10 261.101 through 261.105:
1 11 .................................................. $ 1,000
1 12 Merged Area XI shall distribute a portion of the
1 13 funds to a private institution of higher education
1 14 cooperating with Merged Area XI, for purposes of the
1 15 Iowa minority academic grants for economic success
1 16 program equal to the number of students who are
1 17 enrolled and participating in the program at the
1 18 private institution compared to the number of students
1 19 who are enrolled and participating in the program at
1 20 the two institutions.
1 21 If the Seventy-sixth General Assembly establishes a
1 22 career opportunity program during the 1995 Session,
1 23 the moneys allocated for purposes of the Iowa minority
1 24 academic grants for economic success program in this
1 25 subsection for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995,
1 26 and ending June 30, 1996, shall be transferred to
1 27 Merged Area XI and used for purposes of the career
1 28 opportunity program."
