1 1 Amend the amendment, H-3851, to House File 512 as

1 3 #1. Page 16, line 7, by striking the word
1 4 "subsection" and inserting the following:
1 5 "subsections".
1 6 #2. Page 16, by inserting after line 13 the
1 7 following:
1 8 "NEW SUBSECTION. 5. A business which has its
1 9 headquarters in another country shall, as a condition
1 10 of accepting assistance under this part, agree to
1 11 treat its Iowa workforce in a manner which meets at
1 12 least the minimum standards by which the business
1 13 treats its workforce in the country in which it is
1 14 headquartered. For purposes of the part, a business
1 15 which is owned or controlled by a business which is
1 16 headquartered in another country is considered to also
1 17 have its headquarters in that country."
