  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-3610, to House File 518 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 7, by inserting after line 24 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Upon a determination under the plan of the total
  1  6 percent of increase or decrease pursuant to this
  1  7 subparagraph, the percent of increase or decrease
  1  8 shall be multiplied by five percent.  The result of
  1  9 the multiplication is the technology investment
  1 10 factor.  The amount of the increase of gross revenue
  1 11 collected by a local exchange carrier associated with
  1 12 the price increase or decrease shall be multiplied by
  1 13 the technology investment factor.  The resulting
  1 14 amount, if positive, shall be deposited by the local
  1 15 exchange carrier in the Iowa communications network
  1 16 fund established in section 8D.14 to be used for the
  1 17 purposes authorized under chapter 8D."
