  1  1    Amend House File 34 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Section 1.  Section 1C.2, Code 1995, is amended by
  1  5 adding the following new subsection:
  1  6    NEW SUBSECTION.  5A.  Election day, the first
  1  7 Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each
  1  8 even-numbered year."
  1  9    #2.  Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
  1 10 word "to" the following:  "election day voting by
  1 11 including the general election date as a paid state
  1 12 holiday and modifying".
  1 13    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
