House Amendment 3201

  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-3030, to Senate File 69, as
  1  2 passed by the Senate as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 25, by striking lines 15 through 26 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "2.  In each fiscal year, a county shall receive
  1  6 for property tax relief the county's proportion of the
  1  7 moneys in the relief fund allocated for property tax
  1  8 relief.  A county's proportion of the moneys shall be
  1  9 equivalent to the sum of the following two factors:
  1 10    a.  One-half based upon the county's proportion of
  1 11 the state's general population.
  1 12    b.  One-half based upon the county's proportion of
  1 13 all counties' base year expenditures, as defined in
  1 14 section 331.438.
  1 15    However, moneys provided to a county for property
  1 16 tax relief in a fiscal year in accordance with this
  1 17 section shall not be less than the amount provided to
  1 18 a county for property tax relief in the previous
  1 19 fiscal year."
