  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-3109, to House File 2 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 6, line 37, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "proceeding," the following:  "the state and the
  1  5 defendant or the defendant's counsel shall be
  1  6 permitted to make closing arguments, including any
  1  7 rebuttal arguments, in the same manner as in the
  1  8 initial proceeding and".
  1  9    #2.  Page 12, line 35, by inserting after the word
  1 10 "evidence," the following:  "the state and the
  1 11 defendant or the defendant's counsel shall be
  1 12 permitted to make closing arguments, including any
  1 13 rebuttal arguments, in the same manner as in the
  1 14 initial proceeding and".
