1 5 "franchise" the following: "but does prohibit a
1 6 franchisor from exercising a right of first refusal
1 7 with respect to a transfer of a franchise to a
1 8 surviving spouse or heir who is seeking to qualify as
1 9 a franchisee or who becomes qualified as a
1 10 franchisee".
1 11 #3. Page 1, by inserting after line 23 the
1 12 following:
1 13 "2. A transfer of interest in a franchise within
1 14 an existing ownership group of a franchise shall not
1 15 be refused by a franchisor and shall not be considered
1 16 a transfer subject to a right of first refusal,
1 17 provided that more than fifty percent of a franchise
1 18 is held by persons who meet the franchisor's
1 19 reasonable current qualifications for franchisees."
