1 4 "Section 1. Section 257.1, subsection 2,
1 5 unnumbered paragraph 2, Code 1995, is amended to read
1 6 as follows:
1 7 For the budget year commencing July 1, 1991, and
1 8 for each succeeding budget year the regular program
1 9 foundation base per pupil is eighty-three percent of
1 10 the regular program state cost per pupil, except that
1 11 the regular program foundation base per pupil for the
1 12 portion of weighted enrollment that is additional
1 13 enrollment because of special education is seventy-
1 14 nine percent of the regular program state cost per
1 15 pupil. For the budget year commencing July 1, 1991,
1 16 and for each succeeding budget year the special
1 17 education support services foundation base is seventy-
1 18 nine percent of the special education support services
1 19 state cost per pupil. The combined foundation base is
1 20 the sum of the regular program foundation base and the
1 21 special education support services foundation base.
1 22 Commencing with the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 23 2000, the combined foundation base is the sum of the
1 24 regular program foundation base and the special
1 25 education support services foundation base and the
1 26 amount received in fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998,
1 27 and ending June 30, 1999, under chapter 295."
